During the summer recess, work intensifies to keep the SPF ticking over for the coming year. Ernie Fullbrook has been slaving over a hot keyboard to produce the next edition of the Handbook, making changes where necessary and correcting mistakes when they occur. We will also be getting the new PAGB Handbook

Now then, what about 2nd place in the PAGB Mono Print section? Who said mono was dead? A large number of prints submitted to us for consideration were digital and the quality was high and improving, so we all got something right.

We have not been idle in coming to terms with digital projection either. Our sub-committee has been working on the technical requirements for a common standard for projection, particularily competitions. More like making a level playing field out of a minefield. By comparison, slide projection is a piece of cake. The report is very thorough and will be of great assistance to all users, and is without doubt the best I've read.

Other items covered in articles for the September 2005 edition of Exposure e.g. the Warwick University for the PAGB Slide Championship mention the support from our members. About seventeen of us, and the biggest disappointment for me was that the ‘ Little Chef ‘ outside Warwick was closed and boarded up. Our heritage is being undermined.

Happy snapping.
