Divergent Views by Hugh Milsom & John Wells
At Sparsholt Village Hall, Sparsholt, Nr Winchester, is commencing 10:00-10:30.
Hugh Milsom is an accomplished photographer, writer and lecturer specialising in fine art landscape photography. Hugh's personal style is evident in both his monochrome and colour work. His images vary from being dark and dramatic to studies of great refinement and delicacy but there is always a mood and a sense of space and loneliness. The mood comes from his empathy with the landscape and an understanding of the way that light and colour, tone and contrast can affect our emotional reaction. Hugh will be talking about his landscape prints both mono and colour of his favourite places around the UK and Ireland. The talk will include many images from his book and some of his recent work and hopefully some from his recent visit to Iceland.
John Wells FRPS is a member of the Gamma Photoforum Group located at Bradford and lectures throughout the U.K. on behalf of Permajet. His photographic interests are varied covering all aspects of digital photography including landscape, environmental portraits, creative, contemporary, Polaroid manipulations and street photography. John's talk is entitled "The Third Coming of Age" which has nothing to do with the content of the Lecture but reflects more on his sense of humour. Content will include everything from Colour to Monochrome, Street Photography to Landscape and Polaroids to Infra-red. You name it John's tried it! John tells us you might not like every picture he exhibits but he thinks you might be inspired to broaden your horizons.
